It was so awesome to be able to participate again this year in the Las Vegas Help-Portrait event held in December. Help-Portrait is a world wide event started by the fabulous photographer and humanitarian, Jeremy Cowert. It takes place throughout the US and in over 67 countries each December. It provides a way to give back to your local community, as the mission statement explains, by GIVING, not taking a picture of those in need.

Here in Las Vegas a super talented group of hair and make up artists got the teens from the Shannon West Homeless Youth Shelter looking amazing. DJ’s were on hand to lend their services and create a fun atmosphere and a great group of photographers had the pleasure of  providing portraits for these wonderful young people. Everyone volunteered their services and I know for each of us it was truly a special experience.
